HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE?


One area deep in the center of the brain, the nucleus accumbens, is believed to play a key role in producing feelings of love. Researchers have found that neurotransmitters and hormones like dopamine travel to this pea-sized area of the brain, which shows more activity when couples report being happily in love. You may love someone with all your heart, but you’re loving from the depths of your nucleus accumbens.
